Just a few days after the introduction of the iPhone 15 series, the first details about the iPhone 16 family, which will be released in 2024, have begun to emerge. A recent report, despite being only a short time since the iPhone 15 was unveiled, revealed two new changes that Apple will implement in its smartphones.
Delightful development for the iPhone 16 series
Digital Chat Station, known for its leaks in the industry, shared new details about the iPhone 16 series, which will be launched next year. According to this information, the phones will use virtual buttons that work with haptic feedback. With this change, the new series will bid farewell to physical buttons.
The new virtual solid-state buttons, which will be sensitive to touch (supported by Taptic Engine), are actually not a new claim. Analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo previously speculated that this innovation would be included in the iPhone 15 Pro models. However, subsequent reports suggested that Apple abandoned this idea due to unresolved technical issues before mass production.
Digital Chat Station’s latest report suggests that Apple has resolved the technical problems and will incorporate this design innovation in the entire iPhone 16 series. Another feature related to the series is the standard models. The refresh rates, which were 60 Hz in the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 models, will increase to 120 Hz with the new series. This change also applies to the Plus model, which returned with the iPhone 14.
